Customer ReviewsThe Satmap Active 10 is a tremendous handheld GPS that truly "does what it says on the box". But it really needs a larger scale set of maps to make the product usable. This 1:50,000 set of maps, as others have noted, conforms exactly to the popular OS Landranger series and is excellent to use. The maps need no installation. Just load the SD card into the GPS, turn it on and it will discover the maps. The 1:25,000 maps will obviously provide even better detail, but for most of us they are prohibitively expensive to buy. This 51:0,000 set of maps will be good enough for the great majority of walking or geocaching needs. It does cover the whole of Great Britain (contrary to what other reviewers have claimed) and is a cost effective addition to the Satmap. Note that Northern Ireland is NOT covered by this series....By Essential item to make the Satmap really practical
