I have been looking for a second speaker dock for my Iphone for several months and had tried 5 other docks all of which had lack lustre performances at best. Trouble is, I have been spoilt by my Bose docking system that I have had in my kitchen for the last year, and expected to find it's sound quality and depth for half the price, which I had almost given up on, until that is, I stumbled on a little known American manufacturer called Klipsch (little known here in the UK that is), who were receiving high praise from gadget magazines like Stuff!, What Hifi, etc and expecting to be disappointed yet again, I decided to order the Klipsch Igroove SXT WWi, WWi meaning - Works With iPhone, from Amazon, knowing that if I was unhappy I could send it back! The Klipsch arrived promptly 2 days later and I eagerly hooked up my iPhone ready to be disappointed, but no, far from being disappointed, the biggest grin ever came over my child like gadget addicted face! I was blown away! Not only was the Klipsch about a third smaller than my Bose speaker dock, but it sounded just as good, if anything, better. Base is rich and deep without being overpowering, treble is crisp and sharp without being harsh and tinny as on most sub £100 docks, and mid range is equally as good. Power is astounding for something this small and breaks the laws of physics, although for me I will mostly listen to it at less than a quarter volume, as you don't need to drive it any harder to appreciate it's rich tonal balance. It seems to be good with all types of music, pop, classical in particular, and using the Internet radio on the iPhone/iPod is particularly good. All in all I have to give this 5 out 5 for it's sound quality which is what most people want when buying a speaker dock, I have even moved my Bose out of it's pride of place in the kitchen now and put the Klipsch there I am that impressed, as I reckon it has more depth and warmth that the Bose lacks just a little, and therfore it's been relegated to the bedroom! Sounding somewhat like an employee of Klipsch, though I am not! I have to say that if you are looking for Bose quality sound but without the pricetag, I can assure you that the Klipsch Igroove SXT WWi is just as good if not better!!!....By Mr. G. Pearson

going from a etrek h device (a point and go) to an all singing and dancing device was a challenge, but im glad ive got the device. battery life is about 12-16 hours and not much different to my etrex h. Have found my 2650mh rechargables last better than throw away jobbies which dont last as long. You will need batteries that support high performance and a good set of 2500mh+ will be what you need to get. Free maps can be found if you search for talkytoaster and is part of a free open source project which arent the worse or the best but for free are great and better than some of the paid for which have in my experience been poor. The device has a 7-30ft accuracy depending on location (tree cover is a killer) but let the device sit outside with no tall building for an hour and it soon will learn all the satelites so next time you turn it on it will lock on quickly. So should you buy one? i did, but only went for this one over the 200t because of all the extra features which i dont even use, personally i would go for a 200t of you are after one of these devices and get a cheap 4gb mini sd card too....By nice device

Yes, I agree with the other reviews so far that the 32-inch Samsung is simply the best TV of its size. Did extensive side-by-side viewings before buying it, and it worked and looked perfect right out of the box. Speaking of "right out of the box," why doesn't Amazon mention the outstanding delivery service by Pilot Freight? The unit was promised in four days, they called and asked if they could deliver it in three. They had two people bring it in, unpack it and set it up, plug the set into the cable box and plug the DVD player into the set, turn everything on and verify that it all worked. They showed me how to use the control, cleaned up everything and removed all of the packing and clutter. Great job, far better than expected. Overall a good GPS although as mentioned previously, it comes with a very basic basemap and only really gets good if you have the Garmin Mapsource maps or some of the free ones out there compiled by GPS users. What you get in the box is the GPS, a USB cable, carabiner clip and a manual on CD. No software, so you will have to register and download the updater software from the Garmin website. Had to buy the case and screen protector separately - if you are going to spend this much on a GPS, then protect it with the screen protector as grit will scratch the touch screen. I must admit, when I read the early reviews before purchasing this item, I was concerned that I might be buying a bit of a lemon. However, looking into the specs revealed that the system is based on a Microsoft Windows CE platform, which means that it's software can easily be updated by Satmap users as and when the company releases fixes and other software upgrades. As many of the original issues mentioned in the reviews on here had already been addressed by a major update, I bit the bullet and bought one. The unit is easy to operate straight out of the box, with the menu system being quite intuitive. Construction seems sturdy and well thought out. In use, it took 2-3 mins to get a satellite lock and performed (almost) faultlessly and certainly no worse than the Garmin I was used to. I bought the optional Lithium rechargeable battery with it, and found the battery life to easily exceed 8 hours, with the display switched on permanently at max brightness. I think with some basic energy saving i.e. putting the screen saver on I should get at least 12 hours before having to worry about what the battery is doing. I did experience a few weird things with the version of the software installed on the device when I bought it, but upgrading to the latest version (A simple and trouble free procedure) resolved the occasional lock-up and added some good stuff like the new direction indicator. People, this device keeps improving with every software release and the folks at Satmap have an ongoing development program which will keep looking after us, the users. I have now used the device for 7 months and still love it. It has been out in the sun, wind and snow, it has been dropped, soaked and banged about but still works perfectly, even in really low temperatures. It really is the holy grail of walkers... OS mapping on a hand held GPS. With the latest release of software Satmap have proved they are committed to their users and that they listen to what they want. This is a refurbished GPS. Refurbished generally means that the unit has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the navigator back to like new conditions. Some GPS may contain cosmetic blemishesWe've been big fans of Magellan's Maestro line since it came out in early 2006. The Maestro interface is incredibly easy to use, even for those who are not completely comfortable with electronics. At the same time, Magellan was ahead of the industry with useful innovations like multi-destination routing and pre-loaded reviews for points of interest like hotels and restaurants (from AAA). With it's 3200 and 4200 series, Magellan has improved the Maestro line giving them a SirfStar III chipset that provides super-fast. satellite lock and making them thinner. In fact, at .7 inches, these are -- at the time of this writing (November 2007), the thinnest portable GPS navigators available. Distingushing between models is also fairly easy.

3200 and 4200 Family of Navigators

Distingushing between models is also fairly easy. The 3200-series navigators feature a 3.5-inch screen, while the 4200s have a 4.3-inch widescreen display. The 3200 and 4200 offer great, basic navigation with turn-by-turn spoken directions, pre-loade maps of the 48 contiguous United States, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, and 1.3 million POIs. The 3210 and 4210, add maps for Canada and Alaska, AAA travel information (see details below) and bump you up to 6 million POIs. The 3220 and 4220 add maps of Mexico. The top-of-the-line 3250 and 4250 add a host of other features, including text-to-speech directions that give real street names, bluetooth for hands-free phone calls, integrated traffic (with a free 3-month subscription), and voice command.

The voice is understandable and the click for each move is a great help when navigating unfamiliar roads. The colors on the large screen are vivid. Phone Features

When closed, the Sidekick has a candybar-style with an extra-large 2.6-inch LCD screen featuring a 400 x240-pixel resolution and a 65K color depth. You'll enjoy enhanced web surfing with the PC-like, full-size layout or standard Sidekick screen-size layout to scroll and read a page. Use the Mini Page function to zoom out on an overview of an entire Web page. You can even save images from Web pages to the microSD card. The mid-section of the phone with the screen swivels up to reveal the full QWERTY keyboard with chiclet-style keys, which makes typing out messages a breeze.
The phone has a 64 MB internal memory, which enables you to store up
to 25 ringtones, add up to five slides to multimedia messages, and record up to 60-second voice messages. The memory can be expanded via optional MicroSD media. The phonebook can store a whopping 2000 contacts, with each entry providing multiple fields for phone numbers and email/IM addresses. It also provides support for caller groups and picture/ringer ID. You can transform the look of the Sidekick from standard black to metallic green with the included bonus shell.
For true individualization, you can design a completely unique shell unlike any other using a dedicated online Sidekick site via SkinIt at sidekickshells.com. Doing so is as simple as uploading a personal photo or graphic design, or selecting your own text, shapes, icons or logos. The final design is custom-printed onto the shell, then shipped. Once the design is complete, customers can share their work of art in a public gallery that will be hosted on sidekick.com.

This phone provides Bluetooth wireless connectivity (version 1.2), and includes profiles for mono and stereo headset, handsfree, dial-up networking, object push, file transfer, and basic print. With the A2DP Bluetooth profile, you can stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones. It also offers USB 2.0 wired connectivity.

I got this phone for my birthday and I couldn't have asked for anything better. It has a 2.0 mega-pixel camera which i must admit isn't that great but come on, its just a camera phone. Fully loaded internet access. Only thing you cant do is view videos from the net. Instant messaging (ex. Image Stabilizer

IS dramatically reduces image blur caused by camera shake. The EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS USM features Canon's latest 3-stop IS, a one-stop improvement over its predecessor. This allows shutter speeds up to three stops slower than would otherwise be possible, with no perceptible increase in image blur. Photographers normally shooting a 300mm frame handheld at 1/500 second can obtain the equivalent result with a shutter speed of just 1/60 second, vastly extending options in low-light conditions.

Gyro sensors detect unwanted vibrations, triggering the corresponding movement of a correcting lens group perpendicular to the optical axis. This alters the light path, returning the image to its correct position on the sensor or film plane.

The EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS USM provides 2-mode IS for shooting immobile subjects. Mode 1 stabilizes the image along both the horizontal and vertical axes. For shooting while panning to follow a moving subject, Mode 2 turns off correction in the panned direction and prevents the effect of dragging the subject back through the frame. IS switches off automatically when the camera is mounted on a tripod, thus preventing feedback loops between the IS sensor and stabilizer motor vibrations.

Superb autofocus

The micro USM motor found in the EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS USM employs ultra-sonic frequency vibrations to drive auto focus with unrivalled speed and near-silent operation. Good holding torque stops the lens with precision and accuracy, the instant it arrives at the correct focus point and without overshoot. A high-speed CPU and optimised AF algorithm result in a significant increase of AF speed compared to that of its predecessor.
A zoom ring locking mechanism is provided that locks the zoom at the wide-angle setting. This ensures that the lens is carried or stored in its most compact position, preventing possible damage caused by the lens extending and hitting obstacles when being carried mounted on a camera with a strap.

Pleasing defocused background

The EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS USM employs an electro-magnetic diaphragm (EMD) with a circular aperture. This helps create an attractive, even defocused background when isolating a subject at large apertures.

Image quality

By optimizing Super Spectra lens coatings and lens element shaping, Canon's engineers have been effective in suppressing flare and ghosting--more prone to occur with digital cameras due to reflection off the image sensor. By increasing light absorption, coatings reduce reflections off lens element surfaces to deliver crisp, undistorted images with natural color balance.
Focal length translates to 112-480mm equivalent in 35mm film format when fitted to EOS 20D and EOS 350D cameras.

The EOS system

The EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS USM includes distance metering information, providing compatibility with the E-TTL II flash system of late model cameras such as the EOS-1D Mark II N and EOS 5D . When used in conjunction with Canon's range of EX Speedlite flash units, the lens passes distance information to the flash algorithm for markedly improved flash exposure metering.
Accessories for the EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS USM include the lens hood ET-65B and the lens pouch LP1222. In keeping with Canon's Kyosei philosophy of living in harmony with the environment, the lens features only lead-free glass.

Having only used the lens for a few weeks, I have not had that many opportunities to see limitations, but overall the lens seems to do all that I could have asked of it. The autofocus seems to be very fast and accurate. It is not a "l" series lens, but for the price and the focal length, it is able to capture action frames as fast as the Rebel xsi it is mounted on will cycle. I am very pleased with the performance of this lens so far and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an affordable way to outfit their digital SLR.....By solid lens so far
