If you haven't picked up a Spartan from McFarlane's line yet, the Spartan Mk. VI is as great a place as any. The figure has an amazing amount of mobility and articulation for such a detailed figure. The only two drawbacks I had with the figure are the shoulder armor and the weapon. While the torso, helmet, and shoulders can all be swapped out the shoulder plates fall off too easily. As for the weapon, my problem is that it doesn't have more. For a game focusing so much on the weapons it's rather backwards you only get one gun. Great figure, good value....By Well worth the money.

This figure has great detailing and is very poseable. At first some of the joints were a little stiff, especially in the ankles and feet. The head, chestplate, and shoulders are removable so they can be swapped with other figures but at times this can be a little frustrating. While trying to pose the figure the shoulder pieces kept falling off the moment my fingers so much as brushed against them. I recommend removing them before attempting to pose the arms. The assault rifle and grenade the figure comes with can be attached with pegs to a few points on the Spartan, or held in the hands. While the pegs and peg holes hold them well, the hands are another story. I can get the grenade in the left hand for some poses, but it's better off on the thigh. The rifle is meant to go in the right hand with the left supporting it, but the space between the fingers and thumb on the right hand is so small you need to grab them and force them apart to get the rifle to snap in. Even then the rifle hangs loosely, only held in place by by the spot where the fingers and thumb connect. I'm just nitpicking now. This is a great toy with a few minor annoyances, but nothing to make me regret buying it. A good addition to any Halo fan's collection. ....By Great, With Some Minor Flaws

Adding my voice to the previous reviews. I hesitated to purchase one before because it is difficult to judge size from the web, but I tried one in a store. Add the Canon SD870 IS to the list of perfect size fit. For the 870, the official Canon leather case is way too tight (they fit many other SD series nicely). Most of the other cases I have seen have way too many pockets and fancies which make them easily twice the bulk of this one. I don't want that much extra on my belt, and I am sure my wife wouldn't want the extra bulk in her purse either. It fits our camera closely and securely without hindering slipping the camera easily in and out. The extra pocket will adequately accomodate an extra battery and memory card (with card case) without adding unnecessary bulk....By Perfect Straightforward

The Ed Hardy Kristine bag is a great bag. It's a microfiber product with leather trim and is durable and roomy. Now to be fair this is a mass produces 1/6 scale version of the Master Chief character from the Halo franchise. Being a mass produced toy in this price bracket it will not compare to offering from companies like Hot Toys or Soldier Story. But its not supposed to, and in its context is a great figure. The detail is nice and articulation is pretty good leading to the ability to pose the figure in a variety of positions. The paint is fair, but pretty good considering the price of this figure. I was slightly unhappy with the helmet visor paint, but the rest of the figure was pretty good. Its worth mentioning that there are two more versions of this figure. There is a blue Spartan and a brown one. The blue figure is exclusive to Walmart and the brown to Toys R Us. ...By A great addition to any collector or fan

Interactive Doll Makes Roll-Playing More Fun

The adorable toddler doll comes dressed in a cute T-shirt and a pair of "big girl" panties. She has positionable arms and legs, bright friendly eyes, and curly pigtails and bangs that can be combed with the included brush. The doll comes with her own bathroom accessories: a toilet, sink, and two bathroom shelves that hold the included toothbrush, toothpaste tube, hairbrush, cup, soap dispenser, and towel.
The doll can be extracted relatively easily from the box, but it takes an adult with wire cutters or a pair of tough scissors to do it. Once she and her bathroom accessories are out, you'll need to install fresh batteries: the doll takes 3 AA batteries, as does the bathroom unit.
Press the button on her tummy to get the doll started. She will turn her head from side to side, move her arms up and down, and begin "talking." She has a set of randomized phrases, including, "I'm a big girl!" "Hi, Mommy!" and "Mommy, I love you." And she'll ask your child for help. For example, she'll ask for a drink of water, and when you hold the cup to her mouth, and she'll make drinking sounds. Likewise, she'll say "Time to brush my teeth!" If you "brush" her teeth with her toothbrush, she will make realistic tooth-brushing and gargling sounds.

Using the Potty

The Gotta Go Doll's central feature, of course, is using the potty. Sit the doll on the toilet, and it will sound like she is "going" in the toilet -- and she will talk about the process, too, humming a tune before she "goes," and saying "I really have to go!" or singing "Pee pee in the potty!" and other phrases that will be funny and delightful to a young child.
In the meantime, when the doll is positioned on the toilet, the "water" in the toilet disappears, with the expected "potty waste" appearing in its place. Your child can then flush the toilet. The "water" will reappear, while the toilet makes a very realistic flushing sound. Wash the doll's hands at the sink -- turn the right faucet to hear realistic running-water sounds.
Once the fun is finished, your child can simply lay the doll on her back. She'll yawn, say she is "sleepy," and the doll will enter a sleep mode. Move the doll to "wake" her up. She makes a yawning sound and is ready for play again.

Realistic Play with No Mess!

The realistic sounds and randomized, interactive phrases from the doll make a delightful stimulation for role playing. And we personally were relieved to find that, unlike other "pee pee" dolls, this one doesn't require real water -- and real mess -- to provide realistic, interactive fun.
However, we did find it a little bit difficult to understand some of the doll's phrases -- it took a couple of listens to figure out what she was saying. And our particular doll, unfortunately, makes a tooth-brushing sound immediately after her water-drinking sound, whether you're brushing her teeth or not. But these two minor inconveniences won't detract from a child's enjoyment in taking good care of this little doll.

My daughter is 2 and saw this commerical and told everyone that she wants this doll. I was hesitant becuase it was expensive, I waited for Amazon to drop the price, and then I jumped on it. I must say its great my daughter is learning the concept of saying she has to go potty etc, then it teaches them good hygiene like washing hands after etc. I recommend this toy, hopefully you can get it for cheaper than 55.00 when amazon drops the price again... very pleased By.....great doll to teach your daughter potty training

Should you really "shake it like a Polaroid picture?"

Ever since the song "Hey Ya" by Andre 3000 of Outkast came out, everyone is shaking their Polaroid pictures. Shaking or waving a Polaroid picture to help the development process originated in the early days of peel-apart film. After peeling the negative, the image needed to dry before it could be handled, so waving the photo helped it to dry more quickly. When using the integral films (600, Spectra, 500, SX-70/Time-Zero, i-Zone) that are used in our most popular current camera models (Polaroid One, OneStep, JoyCam, etc.), the image develops and dries behind a clear plastic window and never touches the air, so shaking or waving has no effect. In fact, excessive shaking or waving can actually damage the image. Rapid movement during development can cause portions of the film to separate prematurely, or can cause "blobs" in the picture. The best way to ensure a perfectly developed image is to simply lay the picture on a flat surface immediately after it exits the camera.

Tamrac 5273 Expedition 3 SLR photo backpack (Black)This is a great little backpack. It works well for what I need for some trips. Yes, it is SMALL. Although the picture of the backback may be a bit deceiving, the product description described it perfectly. The dimensions were 9.5x8x14.5. The size of the backpack allows me to place the backpack under the seat in front of me when I fly and still have room for my feet. I don't like to put my backpack in the overhead as on some flights the flight attendents have re-arranged and re-located my backpack to other overhead compartments. I can fit my Nikon D80 with lens attached, one additional lens and flash. In addition, I store my Cannon Elf, chargers for both the Canon, Nikon and cell phone, extra battery, manuals and other small camera related items and some personal stuff. I even store a paperback book in the outside pocket. Yup, tight fit! Much easier for me when I'm dealing with luggage as well. I usually leave non-Nikon related stuff in the hotel room while I'm at my destination which lightens the pack. On trips where I have more time for taking pictures I usually take my larger backpack that stores my laptop as well and any other lens that I might want to take. As others have mentioned, getting into the packback because of the rain guard is a little tricky. Havent' had the zipper stick, but it's a two hand operation. On the other hand, I doubt that anyone could get into the backpack in crowded areas and you not know it. The shoulder straps are stiff and not the most comfortable, but tolerable for me. The backpack is very well constructed. I would recommend this backback, but, do your homework. Read the product description and not rely on the picture. This vest works for me. However, one problem that I have been having is the lint from the fleece. The lint can ball up and rub off on fabric (car seat, in particular) and also can leave a thin bluish layer, which can be quite annoying. This problem was very severe at first, but on washing it once it seems to have become much less severe. I had other fleece clothes before, and I do not remember a lint problem of this type. But it could be that all fleece does have some lint problem to varying degrees. With this problem almost taken care of, I am enjoying this piece of clothes very much, almost everyday.... This Brute Chieftain is a very large, detailed Halo 3 figure. His helmet is removable, and he can be posed with or without the Fuel Rod Gun. However, unlike the Halo 3 Series 3 - Elite Combat Soldier, his shoulder armor is not intentionally removable. It is difficult to pose the Chieftain with the Fuel Rod Gun, with the barrel parallel with his line of vision. Its also hard to get his left hand to touch the gun while the right hand is gripping the handle. Also, when I made the right hand grip the handle, the trigger broke off. I couldn't see a way to get the hand to grip the handle with the trigger there. However, the detail on this toy is amazing. You can slip your dslr right in the top with the lens pointing down or if you have a large flash and you are using a smaller lens, then you can put it in with the flash going down. So all you have to do is unzip a little and pull out the camera and it's ready to go. There are also many extra pockets that are easy to get to. For the person who likes to dress in layers, especially when hiking, backpacking or any other activity that your body temp can vary widely, then this is for you. As others have stated, this is a windbreaker, but keeps you surprisingly warm. The inside is incredibly soft, and the mesh interior is ultra breathable. I Especially like the collar, because it has extra padding, making it very soft and comfortable. I went hiking through Point Reyes National Forest recently, and this was my most prized possession. It rained for several hours and was very windy. While my friends complained about being wet and cold, I was warm and toasty in my new jacket. For the price, everyone should have at least one of these, and I am thinking about getting another one in a different color. The only problem I had was shipping time. It did arrive on the last day that it was estimated to, but I think a week and a half is a little long. The warehouse is on the other side of the country in their defense. Great product. I wish they sold a Large though; while its nice to have some extra room for multiple layers, when I am just wearing this and a T-shirt, its pretty baggy. I am 6' 200 pounds and the jacket it only slightly to big (maybe it will help you determine what your size is, I coulndt find the sizing chart on the Turfer website)...By Great product for the price

This is a refurbished GPS. Refurbished generally means that the unit has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the navigator back to like new conditions. Some GPS may contain cosmetic blemishesWe've been big fans of Magellan's Maestro line since it came out in early 2006. The Maestro interface is incredibly easy to use, even for those who are not completely comfortable with electronics. At the same time, Magellan was ahead of the industry with useful innovations like multi-destination routing and pre-loaded reviews for points of interest like hotels and restaurants (from AAA). With it's 3200 and 4200 series, Magellan has improved the Maestro line giving them a SirfStar III chipset that provides super-fast. satellite lock and making them thinner. In fact, at .7 inches, these are -- at the time of this writing (November 2007), the thinnest portable GPS navigators available. Distingushing between models is also fairly easy.

3200 and 4200 Family of Navigators

Distingushing between models is also fairly easy. The 3200-series navigators feature a 3.5-inch screen, while the 4200s have a 4.3-inch widescreen display. The 3200 and 4200 offer great, basic navigation with turn-by-turn spoken directions, pre-loade maps of the 48 contiguous United States, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, and 1.3 million POIs. The 3210 and 4210, add maps for Canada and Alaska, AAA travel information (see details below) and bump you up to 6 million POIs. The 3220 and 4220 add maps of Mexico.
