When the temperature is sizzling and you have to put on your Serious Business Person Suit, this is a wonderful compromise between boiling to death and a shocking display of flesh. Instead of wearing an added heat-retaining layer of shirt or cami, I just slip into this little flutter of lace. It's just the right amount of coverage to create the illusion of a blouse beneath the jacket, but none of the weight, no long sleeves, no collar to get hot under -- and there is nothing prettier than an interesting wisp of lacy something peeking out from under that very businesslike jacket. I would live in shorts and a t-shirt if I could and to this day find grown up clothes (and the grown ups who wear them, now that I think of it) uncomfortable, confining and downright annoying. Forget that I've been a grownup myself for a while, shut up. Anyway, anything that looks good, weighs nothing, doesn't make me feel like I'm slowly roasting away and keeps me from having to iron a blouse is aces in my book....By Pretty and Practical...
