Designed for cats and kittens eight weeks or older, this easy-to-apply flea treatment provides long-lasting, effective control against fleas, ticks, and chewing lice. The fast-acting remedy kills 98 to 100 percent of adult fleas within 24 hours, before they lay eggs. Its active ingredient fipronil (kills newly acquired adult fleas) has been combined with the trusted insect growth regulator (S)-methoprene, which kills flea eggs, larvae, and prevents pupae development. Fipronil collects in the oils of the skin and hair follicles, and continues to be released from hair follicles onto the skin and coat, resulting in long-lasting activity against fleas and all stages of four major ticks, including the one that may carry Lyme disease. Research demonstrates that a monthly treatment kills adult fleas, flea eggs, and flea larvae (preventing development of all flea stages) for up to six weeks and kills ticks for at least one month. Easy to use, simply apply contents of the applicator through the animal's fur to the skin level between the shoulder blades. Achieve maximum protection with monthly applications, all year round, but be sure not to apply twice within 30 days. Each packet includes six topical applications for six months of protection.
